Marc Pacifico is one of the leading plastic surgeons in the UK and former President of the BAAPS (The British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons). He regularly lectures nationally and internationally to colleagues, and is known in particular for his breast and facial plastic surgery practice. Marc is Certified by the Royal College of Surgeons of England in facial plastic surgery, breast plastic surgery, body contouring surgery and peri-orbital plastic surgery.

Marc has expertise in facial rejuvenation surgery including deep plane facelift surgery, deep neck lifting and eyelid surgery. Breast plastic surgery also forms a large part of Marc’s practice, with him regularly undertaking procedures such as breast augmentation, breast reduction and breast lifts, these procedures often being combined with body contouring procedures such as a tummy tuck, as part of a mummy makeover. In addition, Marc is called on frequently to undertake revision breast plastic surgery – to help to address problems and issues from past surgery – he receives referrals from many other plastic surgery colleagues in this area.

Marc prides himself on the very personal relationship he develops with his patients, understanding that the trust and confidence you have in your surgeon is vital throughout your surgical journey. Marc graduated from St Bartholomew’s Hospital Medical College and undertook his surgical training in a number of prestigious hospitals in London. His specialist plastic surgery training started at Charing Cross Hospital, London and from there he spent 5-years at Mount Vernon Hospital, Northwood, during which time he completed his doctorate on improving outcomes in melanoma. Subsequently he trained at The Royal Free Hospital, London and Queen Victoria Hospital, East Grinstead, where he worked as a Consultant Plastic Surgeon for 8-years.

Marc was awarded the Ian McGregor “gold” medal for coming top in the UK in the FRCS (Plast.) exam. Marc has been comprehensively trained in the most advanced techniques in aesthetic surgery; both in the UK and during the time he spent working in Melbourne, Australia. It was in Melbourne that he undertook the Advanced Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Fellowship at the internationally renowned Melbourne Institute of Plastic Surgery. He has experience in all areas of aesthetic surgery, but his main interests are in breast and facial surgery. The look Marc aims to achieve is a natural, fresh look, in all areas of aesthetic plastic surgery. Marc particularly focuses on the care you receive pre- and post-operatively, in order to optimise the outcome of your surgery and provide you with a smooth recovery after your operation.

Marc opened Purity Bridge, the exclusive private clinic in Tunbridge Wells in 2013.

Marc Pacifico is a fully accredited specialist in plastic surgery, and is on the Specialist Register in Plastic Surgery with the General Medical Council (number 4412407) and a member of BAAPS, BAPRAS and ISAPS. Marc is also an International Editor of the prestigious Aesthetic Surgery Journal.

When not at work, Marc spends as much time as possible with his young family.

  • Qualifications

    Marc Pacifico has undergone extensive training throughout his medical and surgical career. During his medical school training he took a year out to undertake a further degree in physiology, for which he was awarded first class honours. His research project for the year looked at blood vessel responses to temperature, a topic that is fundamental to all areas of plastic surgery.

    After graduating from St Bartholomew’s Hospital Medical College (Barts), London, in 1997, he qualified as a surgeon in 2000. Once his plastic surgery specialist training was underway in London and the South East of England, he spent a further 2-years researching ways of improving patient survival and outcome in melanoma, the most sinister form of skin cancer. He was awarded a Doctorate of Medicine for his thesis in 2005.

    Mr Pacifico’s most recent qualification was gaining the FRCS (Plast.) exam, which is the consultant-level final exam that is required to be included in the General Medical Council specialist register as a plastic surgeon. For this qualification, Mr Pacifico came top in the country and was awarded the prestigious Ian McGregor “gold” medal.

    Mr Pacifico is now the President of the BAAPS (the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons), a Full Member of BAPRAS (the British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons), a Full Member of ISAPS (the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons), and International Member of the Aesthetic Society (the American Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Society) and on the GMC (General Medical Council) specialist register for Plastic Surgery.

    From his time at Medical School through to the last stages of his training, Mr Pacifico has earned a variety of prizes and scholarships that demonstrate his passion for medicine in general, and plastic surgery in particular. He is most proud of being awarded the Ian McGregor “Gold” medal for coming top in the UK in the FRCS(Plast) consultant level exam.
